CUPRI Receiver Specifications.

(Cornell University Portable Radar Interferometer)

The current CUPRI 50 MHz radar receivers follow the design the NOAA group used for for the Jicamarca and Poker MST radars and were built by myself and Jason Providakes. Their specifications are as follows:

RF BW: fixed and more than 1 MHz wide.

IF: 30 MHz.

Base Band: Quadrature outputs, with LO phase difference created with quarter wave of cable. Outputs feed individual ADCs in the data acquisition system.

Three receivers in system.

LOs: 80 MHz and 30 MHz, used both for mixing in receivers as well as generating the 50 MHz to the transmitter.

Pre-Amps for non-transmitting antennas are from Advanced Receiver Research (Burlington, CT).
